As a response to the importance of cities in addressing climate change, the global
Environment Facility (Gef) is promoting urban sustainability as one of their
Integrated Approach Pilots. The urban pilot, consists of two tracks: ( i) country
level projects, which include * cities across 1l countries. Each country is paired
with one or several international organizations to oversee project implementation
and (ii) a Global Platform for Sustainable Cities(GPSC), led by the World Bank
that will promote shared learning among participating cities and develop tools and
methodologies for promoting integrated approaches to urban planning, financing and
mplementation. Tianjin Green Building Promotion Development Center(World Bank
Loan Management Affairs Center of Tianjin Housing and Urban-Rural Construction
Commission) as PMo, intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services
Research of track station planning and design based on tod concept in Jianchang road
area of Tian jin(GEFTJ-3): The content of this work includes carrying out the
regional status assessment, feedback analysis of the rationality of the existing
planning and construction, putting forward the optimization and upgrading
suggestions, putting forward the comprehensive upgrading plan for the deve lopment
and renewal of the area, and study ing the comprehensive upgrading and layout
optimization of land, transportation and environment. Through research, this
project intends to explore how to formulate different goals and principles in the
process of urban construction and transformation, so as to achieve better service
for urban development through the service efficiency of traffic facilities as a
whole. At the same time, it also explores good internal traffic design of urban
residential areas, and how to make more efficient use of urban public transport


system
The total estimated input of this contract is * person-months of national experts,
including experts in urban planning, transportation planning, environmental
assessment and other aspects
The PMo Tianjin Green Building Promotion Development Center (World Bank Loan
Management Affairs Center of Tianjin Housing and Urban-Rural Construction
Commission), now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in
providing the services. Consultant may express interest for this contract.
